Liverpool's year as "Capital of Culture" required the complete updating of many parts of the centre and Norman Shawcross Roofing were chosen to work on one of the city's keystone projects: the roofing of a new Jury's Inn and Staybridge Hotel at the Kings Dock development.
The project consisted of the fitting of 5000sqm of Vedag built-up felt roofing system and Vedag Vedaplan single ply that was used on canopies and perimeters. The project was started on October 2007 and with eight roofers on the job, the project was finished on time and on budget in May 2008.
